Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Porridge*

A comforting breakfast choice featuring a blend of spices. This is a single serving recipe that soaks overnight.


1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned or steel cut, not instant or quick cooking)
1 cup coconut water or water kefir.
1 apple, chopped
1 Tbsp grass fed butter or coconut oil (excellent sources of vitamins, minerals, and brain building, heart healthy fats)
1 drop Young Living Cinnamon vitality essential oil
1 drop YL Clove vitality essential oil
1 drop YL Nutmeg vitality essential oil (bonus! These EOs are also boosting your immune system! Never consume oils that are not Young Living Vitality oils)
1 tsp honey or maple syrup


The night before, combine oats and coconut water in a small saucepan. Cover and let it soak over night. This helps to neutralize the phytic acid, an anti-nutrient present in all grains nuts and legumes that strips valuable nutrients and minerals from your body, weakening your whole system. I do not recommend consuming grains nuts or legumes that have not been either soaked or fermented.

In the morning, add the apples and simmer about 10 minutes. Stir in essential oils and honey, butter or coconut and enjoy.
