Ningxia Red is packed full of antioxidants, and supports energy levels, normal cellular function, and whole-body and normal eye health. And, it’s delicouis! I don’t know about your kids, but mine loooove gummies. And well… if they’re going to be ga ga over gummies… why not make them beneficial to their health, too? This is a super easy, good for you snack for the kiddos…. they’re a hit in lunches, and the options are endless. This recipe take a whopping 10 minutes to make (if that), and about 15 minutes to set up and pop out of the molds (if you place them in the freezer). Try it! I guarantee they’ll be devoured in no time.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup juice (not from concentrate. Try Orange, Cranberry, Grape etc…. I found that Cranberry worked better than Orange)
- 1/2 cup NingXia Red
- 2 Tbsp gelatin
- 5-6 drops of Lime Vitality (or Orange Vitality) essential oil
- Option: 1/4 tsp of honey (depends on how sweet your juice is)
- Silicone Molds (like these)
DIRECTONS
- Put your silicone molds on a small baking sheet that will fit into your refrigerator or freezer.
- In a small saucepan, pour the juice + Ningxia Red and bring to an almost boil.
- Remove from heat and slowly add the gelatin 1 Tbsp at a time while whisking until blended.
- Add essential oil and whisk again.
- Use a dropper to fill the silicone molds with the mixture (my gummy bear molds came with a dropper!), pour any leftovers into a glass dish (grease lightly if you’d like to remove and cute shapes).
- Place in refrigerator for a couple of hours to set. Or (speed it up!) put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from molds or cut into shapes.
- Store in the refrigerator, they’ll last about 4-5 days (that is, if you don’t eat them all at once!)
