Hello! I’m Lauren.
At the core of it all, I’m a Helper. I’m a doctor and I’m a Veteran. I spend my time serving others, whether that be through my holistic practice coaching others in their health, or through my service to Veterans, who own a big piece of my heart.
I left traditional medicine five years ago. Just two years prior to that, I experienced a diagnosis of colon cancer that would come to change my life for the good. I didn’t know it at the time, but quickly realized that it was a blessing to me delivered in a small, inconvenient obstacle that I would quickly overcome.
I had no true indication that I had a tumor growing inside of me, except for a gut feeling. And when it was found, it had just barely invaded the wall of the colon. What this meant for me was that I would be able to have it removed noninvasively and quickly go on with my life as if it never happened. It was definitely the way to do it.
What I came out on the other side realizing was that this was actually a message for me. This little creature was going to be a turning point for me, in my health, in my life, in the path I took for my career.
This occurrence was a steppingstone for me to learn about how chemicals, the stress of my life, and the people in my life were negatively affecting me. It was the critical moment for me to make major change, and so I did.
I removed the toxins, the people and the chemicals, and I worked to transition to become a holistic and drugless practitioner away from traditional medical care.
I am deeply blessed to get to serve others, for there is no greater calling on earth. I thank my little tumor, as ugly as he was, for giving me a second chance at a healthier and more fulfilling life.
