Have you ever noticed how much the way you start your morning can affect the rest of your day?
There’s a reason so many successful people swear by morning routines. Starting your day with a few intentional habits can help you feel more grounded, focused and ready for whatever comes your way.
Obviously, a good morning routine can’t guarantee a perfect day. Life is still going to life. But taking a few minutes to get your head in the right place before the chaos starts can make a BIG difference in how you handle it.
That’s the idea behind Gary’s Great Day Protocol.
Young Living founder D. Gary Young created this simple routine using four essential oil blends: Valor, Harmony, Joy and White Angelica. Each oil is paired with a specific application and intention to help you start your morning feeling grounded, balanced, positive and confident.
And bonus… you smell AMAZING when you’re done. 😂

GARY’S GREAT DAY PROTOCOL: A STEP BY STEP GUIDE
1. VALOR | Ground + Balance
Place a drop of Valor on the inside of your left wrist, then press the inside of your right wrist against it and hold them together for a moment.
Take a breath and focus on feeling grounded and confident. Valor has a strong, uplifting aroma and is one of my favorites for those moments when I need a little extra courage or confidence.
2. HARMONY | Center Yourself
Place a drop of Harmony just above your belly button.
Take a moment to slow down and set an intention for your day. Harmony was created to complement feelings of balance and calm and has a really beautiful, centering aroma.
3. JOY | Choose Joy
Place a drop of Joy over your heart.
Joy combines oils like Rose, Jasmine, Tangerine and Bergamot for a sweet, uplifting aroma. Think happy, hopeful, optimistic energy for the day ahead.
4. WHITE ANGELICA | Positive Vibes
Place a drop of White Angelica in your palms and rub them together. Then lightly brush your hands over your head, shoulders and body.
White Angelica has a soft, comforting aroma that’s perfect for finishing the routine with an intention of positivity, confidence and emotional boundaries as you head into your day.
And that’s it! Four oils. Four simple steps. Maybe two minutes total.
The point isn’t that doing this magically guarantees you’ll have a perfect day. It’s about creating a little morning ritual that reminds you to slow down, check in with yourself and intentionally decide how you want to show up that day.
You can follow Gary’s original protocol exactly or make it your own. I actually keep these oils together in a roller bottle too, so I can use them on the go. It makes a FABULOUS perfume with a little intention built right in. ❤️

This is fantastic!
